Samsung Galaxy SII Getting Android 4.0 On March 15th?

The Samsung Galaxy SII looks set to get even better in just over a week when it'll be upgraded to Android Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0).

The information comes from Samsung Mobile in Israel who stated that Android 4.0 would be coming to Samsung's smartphone on March 15th. Obviously, this isn't a cast iron guarantee in other markets but we wouldn't see any reason why Israel would get the update before anyone else.

This will be good news for the 20 million Galaxy S2 owners worldwide who's award-winning smartphone will get even better.

Android Ice Cream Sandwich supports a number of new features including Face Unlocking, Visual Voicemail and support for WiFi Direct. It also includes an improved user-interface and is faster and more reliable than ever before.
